R package for calculating N_e in different ways

Goals

Status

Day 2:

Collected which calculations can already be made using available packages, and from which input data.
Working also on functions that calculate N_e not from the coalescent.

Day 3:

Exploring and documenting more thoroughly what these functions do, and what thus needs to be done for this package.
Next step is documenting in the form of a vignette.

Day 4:

Writing simulations for N_e estimation.
Coming up against some technical challenges, mostly to do with laying out and building package.
Advice sought about best practices for programming functions operating on S4 classes.
