har det reell effekt å skrive md. kontra mnd her og for overgangsstønad?

Ingen, men etter dagens skriveregler er det md. som er korrekte forkortelse: https://sprakradet.no/spraksporsmal-og-svar/forkorting-av-manad-og-manader/
