Search - Instructions

  1. Select Tree of Sex from Project drop-down menu. Click Select Project button.
  2. Click on Search in the navigation menu at the top right of the page.
  3. On the search page, select the taxonomy and traits you want to search. You may add rows by clicking on the Add row icon icon. Use the Remove row icon icon to remove or clear rows.
  • If you want to select all traits, skip the Select Traits section and check the box next to Select all traits.
  1. At the bottom, you can check any of the boxes next to the following fields:
  • Select all traits - Display all traits in the results instead of selecting them in the Select Traits section.
  • Only include rows with data for chosen traits - The results will not display empty cells (cells with no data).
  • Include references - Sources for the data that are specific to each traits
  1. Click the Search button for the search results.

Search - Additional notes

  • Use the Download all button to download a copy of the entire dataset in CSV format.
  • Use the Show Traits List link in the Select Traits section to view all of the traits in another tab.

Search - Results

  • At the top, the page will state the number of rows being displayed.
  • Use the Sort results within column next to each column heading to sort through the corresponding column.
  • Use the Search results within column (search boxes) under each column heading to search through the corresponding column.
  • By default, the search results page shows 10 rows at a time. The row at the bottom of the search results table allows for navigating through results with more than 10 rows.
  • Sources for the data are listed at the bottom of the page.
  • Use the Download Results (CSV) button in the top right corner to download a copy of the search results in CSV format.
