Attendees:

  • Krzysztof Ślebioda (Pracownia Zrównoważonego Rozwoju (PZR))
  • Joanna Suchomska (PZR)
  • Grant Tregonning (IGSD)
  • Carlos Cámara (IGSD)

Minute

Grant led the workshop in which we defined a narrative answering the stakeholders' needs (related to healthy food) as well as the CI's needs (related to WFE nexus), identified a series of required datasets that would be needed to meet those needs, and, lastly, identified gaps in the current datasets. IGSD team briefly presented the Water footprint dataset they may be using.

PZR team committed themselves to explore the possibility of getting some of the missing data.

User stories

Required data

"Good" for children:

  • Health:
    • kcal ✔️
    • proteins
    • ingredients ✔️
    • allergens ✔️
    • regulations
  • Satisfaction: rating system ✔️

"Good" for the environment:

  • Water footprint
    • Information re. where every ingredient was produced
  • Energy footprint
    • Information re. where every ingredient was produced

Available datasets, usable as they are

Agents:

  • kindergartens' details (kindergarten_kindergarten.csv)
  • Producers:

Food:

  • Satisfaction: rating system (parents + childrens) (discharating_dishrating.csv)
  • dishrating_dishrating.csv: ratings of the dishes.
  • dish composition (kindergartendish_composition.csv):
    • Variables: id, weight_grams, from_producer, ingredient_id, kindergartendish_id
  • Information about the dishes (kindergartendish_kindergartendish.csv)
    • Variables: id, date, name, kindergarten_id, picture, type, waste, allergens, calories

Available datasets that need modifications

Missing datasets

Datasets containing the following information would be extremely useful:

  • Food:
  • Info on allergens.
  • Info on regulations
  • Comments/feedback on dishes i.e. alternative suggestions (food or environmentally).
  • Water footprint:

Action points:

  • @ALL: agree that some more data is needed in order to answer the user stories.
  • @PZR: Double check if water info per dish is the required amount of water needed to prepare food.
  • @PZR: Identify where every ingredient was produced (as it influences the energy and water footprint)
  • @PZR: Provide a list of ingredients with an English translation
  • @CIM: explore the fit of the Water Footprint dataset in this context
  • @CIM: visualise currently existing information
