Is AV1 supported?

according to some docs/tutorials av1 should give better quality at the same bitrate or same quality at a lower bitrate.

both say AV1 is not supported by mpeg-ts, but there is:

You can absolutely transport AV1 over SRT and relay with srtrelay. But support in streaming/player applications is the main issue. Most only support SRT with mpegts, and yes there is a spec for AV1 in mpegts but I think its not widely supported yet.
