Usage with Server Side Events to prevent polling

I wonder if the polling aspect could be replaced by remote re-validate trigger via Server Side Events (SSE)?

You could disable polling and run a subscription against SSE or WS and once you get the data call mutate to update the hooks. If #457 is merged it will be easier to support this use-case.
