Describe the bug

  1. When launching Ghost of Tushima while in game mode, SteamOS locks up the machine requiring a force reboot.
  2. When launching from desktop mode, a popup appears with the message "No installed graphics card has been detected"
  • Once that message has been closed, the game loads normally.
  • The display settings in the launcher show the Intel B580.

I suspect the popup is crashing SteamOS, but the popup itself is probably caused by something not recognising the Intel Arc.

What did you expect to happen?

I expect to be able to load into Ghost of Tsushima without any popups.
The game should load correctly in both Game Mode and Desktop Mode.

This isn't a Bazzite problem. Kernel 6.12 doesn't have full support for Intel Battlemage, you'll have to wait for 6.13. Tentative that release is Sunday, but then it will take time to be included in the Bazzite image.

Also might be some mesa issues as mesa 25 is recommended for Battlemage, but that release isn't expected until mid February, which will also take time to be included in the Bazzite image.

Edit: New kernel probably required for popup to disappear.
