Discussion topic: determine what software is critical today, how it is sustained, and gaps
Brief description of issue/challenge: Can we identify a small-ish number of software products that are critical today, and understand how they are sustained? How many are commercial? How many are open source? Where are the gaps? What are the products that are important but are in trouble?

Is there a criteria for "critical" and the audience that it is critical for?
