Discussion topic: valuing faculty software contributions
Brief description of issue/challenge: The software developed by faculty (and some researchers) is often not taken into account in academic hiring and promotion. We could find, adapt, and develop templates for university hiring/promotion that take do software into account, such as decision criteria, letters of reference examples, etc.
