We have received some reports of desktop notifications being flaky. For some people, they do not work at all. Look into how desktop notifications work in our application, and research good implementations of desktop notifications and how they compare to ours.

It's hard to exactly debug this, so for now we can just try to triage the issue and understand what is going on.
