Request "add new channels to mix menu"

Hi,

First, thanks for a great job done with this firmware.

My question / request is if it is possible to add new channels to the "mix" menu, due to only channels from 1 to 6, VarA and VarB can e chosen in this menu. For my config I need to add channel 7 as master and channel 5 as slave.

Is there any possibility to modify the source code and recompile it? or is it doable?
I don't know so much in coding/programming and I don´t see any reference to the mix menu so I understand it isn't in the patches applied to the original firmware...

Any advice or idea are welcome!!!
