Input Elements and Listboxes

As part of our efforts to broaden the base of both PFE and RHDS, and towards our goal of launching the new primary navigation experience, let's use this thread to collect ideas around textfield inputs and listbox elements:

PatternFly Components:

• pf-dropdown
• menu
• menu toggle
• number input
• options menu
• overflow menu
• search input
• select
• text area
• text input
• text input group

In particular, we want to get pf-dropdown and pf-text-input ready as they can form the basis for search input.

Perhaps we should start by determining what pf-dropdown, rh-dropdown, rh-menu, pf-menu, and rh-navigation-secondary-dropdown have in common and what separates them. In particular it would be helpful to determine, across both design systems, which basic interaction patterns exist for popover listboxes, so that we can factor out some common helpers, i.e. a controller.
