The computer is a Manjaro Linux with an Ivy-Bridge CPU. I cloned the repository, and then ran The first noticeable thing is PS: I have been running virtual Linux desktops (Ubuntu) in KVM using VirtManager on this computer. When I need to access the virtual desktop, I use XRDP to the host Linux computer desktop (Gnome). PS2: I tried the recommended Big Sur instead, but the result was the same. PS3: I searched the web for the PIP error and installed just python-pip as this answer said, and the result was still the same. PIP's version is like this: pip 22.2.2 from /usr/lib/python3.10/site-packages/pip (python 3.10)

Seems like it is caused by the fundamental problem of XRDP, which has problems with showing the GUI sudo password dialogue (for some apps it works, for other apps, it does not. I had asked this about XRDP, but I think he replied that this is a problem of Linux that he cannot easily fix). I logged into Gnome as root (so that no sudo password would be needed) and then ran the script, and this time it worked and now I am seeing the macOS recovery screen. |
