I use --appdir to avoid a global mess of apps in one folder, so it'd be nice if I could do the same in Applite, and also if it would pick that information up from existing installations
Another categorization option that might be useful is adding tags so you could have a "try this new apps" group to launch and delete later

That's a global flag, which isn't any better, that would just move the mess to another folder.
The point was to categorize individual apps, e.g., have picture-related apps in Applications/Picture
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood your suggestion. I'm not planning on adding this feature at this time, as I think it's pretty niche, but I may consider it in the future.
