Add option to remove the terminal from the bottom of screen

What would you like to be added:
Every time I have windows open to view logs or edit a config, when I start closing them, I get to the last tab, and it's the terminal that automatically launches a terminal session. Give us the option to only launch the terminal tab when we want it launched.

See image 1 and 2. When I close the tab in image 1, it automatically launches the terminal. It doesn't matter how many times I've closed the terminal, every time I move to a different resource type, it'll do it again.

Why is this needed:
I'm constantly closing unneeded terminal sessions.
