Goal

Keptn analysis provides a possibility to define SLOs in a way that was originally defined in Keptn V1. OpenSLO provides a standardized way to define SLOs, that we might be able to use.

Questions for the research

  • Is it possible to use OpenSLO instead of currently used Keptn SLO standard?
  • Does OpenSLO cover all the use-cases that are covered by the current standard?
  • Are we able to adapt the code to support OpenSLO and Keptn SLO at the same time?
  • Is it potentially possible to convert Keptn SLO to OpenSLO or vice-versa?

If possible, let's create a small PoC as part of this research (in the points where it makes sense).
