is it possible to deploy k3d containers to kubernetes cluster

Currently to spin up a test cluster I create VM's on my current cluster and deploy k3s upon them to create the test cluster. Being able to deploy a container based solution to create a test cluster would be preferable.

Wondering if it's possible to deploy a K3d cluster to an existing cluster? if so where should i be looking on how this is achieved?

Hey!
This is not a feature of k3d (k3s in docker).
There are no k3d containers in a sense - it's K3s containers, orchestrated on Docker by k3d.

I thought about deploying to Kubernetes clusters years ago already (hence the config file format in Kubernetes YAML style), but never got around to start with it.

However a colleague over at Rancher started k3k in the meantime - no idea how that's going today: https://github.com/rancher/k3k
