Dad joke doesn't speak the joke (new Windows installation)

Pretty much what the title says:

• Just installed Script Kit on Windows and am trying things out.
• The Dad Joke example works great except it doesn't speak the joke.
• I see no obvious errors or other problems, just no sound.

Do I need to set something up, download a package, or make some other change to get that to work?

Or even: Is there a simple way I can test whether Screen Kit or the command used in the script has access to my speakers to diagnose the issue more?

Update: It's been a couple days and the speaking seems to work fine now!

I've done a few things since my original post that might have helped in case anyone else has a similar problem and wants to try any of them:

• I believe there were Windows updates I installed (including a restart).
• I shut down and restarted my computer. (More than once, I think.)
• I closed Script Kit (right clicked on the tray icon and used that menu) and re-opened it (using Cortana and searching for Kit).

I didn't do any of them to try and fix the problem - it was just normal use for me over the last couple days - so I'm really not sure if any of those things actually helped or not, just happy it's working now!
