Describe the bug
On my Samsung A22 G5 phone (Android 13), NFC works like a charme for things like paying with my digitally stored credit card, passport scans etc.. But I cannot use my two Yubikeys to login to Github, neither in Firefox, nor in Chrome nor in the Github app.
Maybe it has to do with the fact that neither app asks me for the respective pin of the Yubikeys?
Also, while it is somewhat possible to use the Yubikeys via my phone's USB port, it is odd that they're detected as USB keyboard, and I have to explicitely open the screen keyboard again to then enter the pin. But via USB I am at least asked to enter the pin.
On my PC I can login with my YubiKeys just fine, and I can also use them without problems with other apps via NFC on my Samsung phone. Also, on the same phone I can log into my Microsoft account with my YubiKeys via NFC without a problem in every browser.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Open Chrome, Firefox or the GitHub app on a Samsung A22 G5 phone
Go to GitHub Login
Click on 'Sign in with Passkey'
Click on 'Use other device'
Click on 'NFC security key'
Hold YubiKey 5 to your NFC sensor for 10 seconds
See error message "Something went wrong. Try inserting your security key in your phone's USB port or connect it with a USB cable or adapter"
Expected behavior
I expected at 7. to either be asked to touch the YubiKey 5 or to enter its PIN. After that I would have expected to be logged into my GitHub account.
Screenshots
Logs
I have a log from TagInfo about my YubiKey that shows that the device itself is working perfectly fine, except when I attempt to use it via NFC to log into GitHub.
