Solution to issue cannot be found in the documentation.
I checked the documentation.
Issue
I am on Windows, working in the VSCode terminal, which I setup to defaults to Git Bash. When I start a new terminal, it opens with the base env activated since I have run conda init bash. But when I try the conda command in this terminal with any operation (list, info, or anything else), I get the message bash: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\miniforge3\Scripts: Is a directory.
What's interesting is that I can run any conda operation in a Git Bash terminal outside of the VSCode.
