Any idea if there is a setting or two I can tweak so I'm still getting the benefits of poop, without also blocking these things from playing?

Sure...

*.reddit.com *.redd.it
*.youtube*.com *

You can also see here.

But I don't know about twitter Vimeo... can you provide a sample URL?

Ok, awesome, thanks for getting back to me on this!

Do you know if it's possible (or worthwhile) for the exclusions to just cover the media player elements within websites like YouTube and Reddit, so that the media will play on those sites but everything else still goes through POOP?

Its meant to not inform 3rd party about your visiting domain.

Oh, so if I were excluding the media player part of YouTube, then YouTube still know I'm visiting the domain thus defeating POOP anyway. Thank you!

But you do not exclude that part.

I seem to have to add 0: *.reddit.com to overrides to make Reddit videos work.
