Looking at your research and code this is DNS with no turbulence modeling correct? I'm asking because I am wondering if its possible to use Wabbit to simulate the flapping flight of a larger animal such as a bird. Insects are probably small enough that you can use DNS, but a larger model like a bird would probably require a turbulence model like LES right? Perhaps it would be a relatively simple task to implement LES into Wabbit.

Hey there !
We know it has been an awful long time but this is something we are working on currently in ongoing projects, especially to tackle the cases you have mentioned.
However, we will not deploy classical LES models but rather a unique approach called CVS or coherent vorticity (or in our case velocity) simulations. First validations are expected end of this year and in total we will deal with it along the next three years.
