How do I launch directly into a game from the file selector in GMenu2X for the MAME4ALL emulator? #227

Hi @geezer500 ! I believe that the installed version of MAME4All currently does not have command line support. I still have a couple of command line arguments to throw at the wall, but don't expect them not to stick. Sauce ( @gameblabla ) has been awesome again and ported goldmojo's implementation of MAME4All with command line support (available in the 'Beta Testing' folder), but sadly doesn't seem to work - at least on my current 1.3.2 CFW install. The UX version breaks at launch, and the command line version reports all required ROM files to be missing on supported ROMs verified working on the currently installed version of MAME4All (MAME 0.37b5 ROMs). goldmojo also has an awesome implementation of UAE4All with command line support (https://github.com/goldmojo/uae4all) I'd die happy if ported to the MiyooCFW... ;) Sincerely, |

Hi BryMD, Thanks for the info... I did already try a couple of cli parameters without success... I also tried the beta version as well without any luck (on my q20 Mini firmware v1.3.3_04-10-20.) It's not the worst thing in the world! I was just hoping to keep everything uniform for my kids. The firmware as a whole is just awesome and I have it setup with coverflow for all emus and is just great to use! Edit I just tried the Improved MAME4ALL again and can't get it to work. Until it does I'll just have to stick with loading the Emu then game. It's not a big deal as I may just use FBA (which I assume will work (as I haven't built a romset for it to test yet)) for the Kids.... |

I have all (the ones I want) emulators working using the file selector option when I create the link in GMenu2X.
The NeoGeo (GnGeo) emulator works properly using aliases and launches directly into the chosen game.
However I can't seem to launch a game directly from a GMenu2X link using the file selector option.
It does launch into Mame4All - just to a black screen with the Mame4All background.
I then must press a couple of buttons to bring up the Mame4All internal file selection and choose a game again.
It then launches properly and I can play the game.
Is there an extra parameter that I must pass to Mame4All when creating the link? in order to launch a game directly...
Thanks
