Although this is under the final confirmation but I'm afraid this could be a by-designed behavior for web. If this is confirmed, then you may can move to our develop forum https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/category/microsoft365/ideas/microsoft365developerplatform to submit a feature ask request. Our PMs would review the list and convert requests with high votes into ADOs regularly. |
It can't be by design because when I try a different add-in (you can pick any add-in published in AppSource) – the tooltip only shows up once after the installation, and never on each opening of the document. |
Your Environment
Excel for Web
Expected behavior
The Title and Description text specified in the application manifest under section for published add-ins should only appear once after the add-in installation.
Current behavior
The Title and Description text specified in the application manifest under section appears every time the add-in is loaded for our add-in published in AppSource.
