          3. Installing AUR packages?

As for 2 and 3, maybe in the future.

Might be worked on in the future, but isn't in the plan for the immediate future? Junest has a pretty nice implementation of AUR in a portable Arch install, so it might be a good reference.

Good issue to track for this: Morganamilo/paru#304

And a (stale?) PR related to the issue: Morganamilo/paru#665

(tracking this issue myself in hope of using it inside Containerfile for a custom distrobox image)

I added the ability to install AUR packages, seems to work fine according to my limited testing. Check if it works for you.

Thanks, I've tested it and it seems to work fine to me. ArchiSteamFarm-bin launches just fine (though ofc I need to work around the readonly filesystem, but that's what the overlay-fs is for) and my browser was able to interface with SGDBoop installed through AUR just fine. Thanks!

Is installing AUR packages for normal users who downloads Conty from Releases (instead of manually building it) working as well, btw?

Unfortunately, no, currently installing AUR packages is only available when manually building Conty. Also, updating Conty via -u won't update any installed AUR packages.
