What should be the action as a consequence of encountering one of these values in a row? Say I encounter "conflict", or "ambiguous" -> what does that tell me? What should the curator do in response to these?

I think most of these docs belong on the boomer site, and in fact maybe the
reporting can migrate there. To interpret the report you really need to
understand what boomer is doing.
But there are a few straightforward ones:
NEW: this mapping interpretation can be added with high confidence
AMBIGUOUS: the source ontology has different interpretations (e.g. exact,
broad) for the same term pair. If you get this then you should tidy up your
inputs
CONFLICT: the source ontology mapping interpretation is different from what
is inferred to be the correct one
REJECT: a CONFLICT in which the source interpretation is non-exact
note that the last two may be rare if non-exact priors are close in value,
until we have posterior probabilities of individual interpretations
