Chrome://extensions is blocked by my school is there a work around?

They blocked chrome://extensions? That is smart of them but stupid. Check if Linux Development Environment is unblocked, you can use that to install another browser that doesn't have any of your school's extensions. If not, check if Crosh is unblocked, there may be a way to simply just disable the extension or toggle the setting through it. If these don't work, I think you are out of luck

I'm an idiot in Crosh, GoGuardian ended up blocking Crosh for me. chrome://extensions is still unblocked, but others like chrome://network aren't.
The shortcut for Crosh on a chromebook is CTRL + ALT + T, that's the most I can say :(
Otherwise, you could try getting a working proxy link, 2 of them I have are https://bookingportal.mounthoodlodge.info/ and https://graph.sci.themathdoctors.org/
if those didn't work, I could give more if you want.

what i did was take a usb and install the index.html onto it so its accessed through file location, i think they cant block that, because kids at my school used it to play cookie clicker, and my friend made a website for this and when it got taken down i just did the previous thing and it worked again

If you dont have a USB, I'm pretty sure you can just download the HTML file and open it

Since you are a newer verison, your options are kinda limited. You could try LTMeat Print or LTMeat Flood, but that's all I can think of (unless you are willing to downgrade/unenroll, but I don't recommend doing so unless you know what you are doing)

This is LTMEAT Flood.

Extension page: chrome-extension:///manifest.json
Extension settings: chrome://extensions/?id=
To get the ID, just go to chrome://extensions/ and find the blocking extension. Click on details and copy the part in the URL after ?id=

Instructions:

  1. Create a bookmark folder and paste the extension page lots of times. (About 800 minimum is recommended assuming your Chromebook is average school quality)
It is recommended that you add the extension page at the beginning of the folder.
  2. Right-click and open all in a new window.
  3. Close the window with all those tabs.
  4. Open the folder in a new window again, and Chrome should hang those tabs to take care of the old ones in the background that were just closed.
  5. Flip the Allow access to file URLs switch in the extension settings and then you've bypassed the patch and the exploit is working.
  6. Close everything and you're good to go. If it didn't work, try adjusting the number of tabs being opened. With this workaround, LTMEAT can endure a longer life!

If that's the case, then sadly, I don't think currently there are any (simple) exploits that don't require chrome://extensions (but I could be wrong)
