Sign in to Thorium with an email account. #293

Could you describe the problem you encountered in more detail? It would be best if you could attach your operation flow or screenshots. |
Are you trying to import bookmarks and passwords from another browser or sign in to your Google account? |
I normally use Opera and Firefox browsers. In both browsers I have all my passwords and bookmarks backed up in one of my google accounts. However, unlike Thorium, those other browsers allow me to create a different password in order to access my email account which has my backups. With Thorium, I am forced to use the original password of that email account.. This is a privacy issue. |
Try it manually

When wanting to sign in (in Thorium browser) with an email account, in order to get back all my personal stuff (bookmarks, passwords, etc), Thorium asks for the actual password of the email concerned. In every other browser I've used, you choose a different password!
For privacy reasons, this is a definite NO NO!. If the developer has read this, then change the sign in feature!
Lastly, why on earth would Thorium, a 'privacy' conscious browser, choose Google search as the default browser?. Makes no sense.
