These test results are YMMV, and the two different browsers use different mozconfig and some files.

Also, you are testing on two different versions and not controlling for variables.

The are different version, but they are the latest in their own respective release, still I wanted to get the same result, from mercury, it's main purpose is to be fast. for now I'll stick with Firefox, and test on the next build.....

In my tests, I found Firefox 130 to be faster than every fork still a version behind. My best guess is that Firefox 130 is faster than it's predecessors and as such outperforms any forks based on previous version.

If my guess is correct then we shell see improvements in newer Mercury build on par with Firefox. That's why I skipped this new update. I'll switch back once Mercury is updated again based on Firefox 130/131.

I got 10.6 in Firefox+BetterFox, and 11.3 in Mercury on my PC.

I still use firefox tho, because since in v130 opening bookmarks in new tabs doesn't close the bookmarks menu.

I'm always curious what people like you do in your browser that you will browser-hop that much for such a marginal performance gain.

It's a browser, what else can I do, except for browsing the web. Hopping browser takes only 2 minutes for me. As I far as I know, it's supposed to give 8-10% better performance, so that should at least feel faster. Chrome feels faster but I don't use chrome, wanted to keep using Firefox, without getting bad performance. I'm okay with on per performance with Chrome...
