At a minimum, I want:

  • Builder started
  • Builder finished with failure
  • Which derivation emitted the build logs
  • When a builder fails, show a Lua traceback of the derivation call that created that .drv file
  • Optional quiet mode, which only logs the errors
  • Not as sure on this one: would be nice to use short names (no hash) by default until an error occurs
