  • printer:
    • avoid creating lots of strings
    • fewer calls to write
  • parser:
    • reuse a single bytes + offset + len, to avoid allocating
    • once prefix+len is read, the rest of a fixed-length token should be parsed with only one call (read exact number of bytes into pre-extended buffer)
